Operations Gate Truck Visits Truck Visits view

The Truck Visits view displays the truck visits that exist at the current scope level. You can double-click a truck visit to display details using the Truck Visit Inspector (on page 1). In addition, you can use the Actions menu to:

• Prioritize the Truck (on page 1): Change the priority of the selected truck visit.

• Reprint the Most Recent Document: Reprint all the documents for each gate transaction associated with the truck visit.

If connected to an external Gate Operating System (GOS), N4 accumulates all the gate documents for all the gate transactions for the truck visit and sends a single message to the GOS.

When reprinting gate documents for a truck visit:

• N4 does not include the canceled gate transaction.

• If the truck visit or any of the associated gate transaction have the status TROUBLE, N4 displays a warning message and includes the TROUBLE transactions in the reprint only if the user clicks Yes.

• Record Service Event: Record a service event against the selected truck visit(s).

• Cancel TruckVisit: Cancel the selected truck visit.

If a truck visit has associated gate transactions in OK or TROUBLE state, you cannot cancel the truck visit.

• Close TruckVisit: Close the selected truck visit.

If a truck visit or a gate transaction is already in a COMPLETE, CANCEL, or CLOSED state, N4 ignores it.

Notes

• If ROADGATE007 (AUTO_CANCEL_TRUCK_VISIT) (on page 1) is set to true, and you cancel or close all the gate transactions associated with a truck visit, N4 automatically cancels or closes the truck visit.

• If the duration specified in ROADGATE004 (ACTIVE_TRUCK_VISIT) (on page 1) has elapsed and the Auto Close Truck Visit background job is running, N4 updates the status of the truck visits that are in the OK, INCOMPLETE, and TROUBLE states to CLOSED state. N4 also updates the status of the gate transactions, in the Gate Transactions view (on page 1), associated with the updated truck visits to CLOSED.

• Displaying the columns Transaction Count and Minutes In Yard impacts the performance of this list view. It is recommended that you only include these columns when applying a filter, for example when looking at trucks of long stay.

• When you filter the truck visit records, you can use the Minutes In Yard attribute in the filter criteria only if the Exited Yard timestamp is null.
